Sometimes we can become stuck in the middle of our difficulties or find it hard to engage with our struggles. Here, at Green Space Psychology, we support people to find a sense of emotional balance, mindful well-being and general self-directed motivation. Our approach is to work with clients to navigate their experiences safely, yet courageously; informed by evidence-based neuroscience, mindfulness and general psychological approaches, to help facilitate real change.
Our Services

Psychotherapy and Counselling
Emotional distress and life difficulties can sometimes create barriers which block our ability to live the life we wish to live. We use our considerable experience to help clients work towards alleviating that suffering.
We offer a wide range of counselling/psychotherapies, including: Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, psychodynamic therapy and person-centered counselling with an emphasis on being compassion focused.

Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT)
At Green Space Psychology, although therapists are trained in various therapeutic modalities, we specialise in delivering the dynamic: compassion-focussed therapy integrated with polyvagal theory in therapy. The approach, which is routed in evolutionary neuroscience, is rapidly being recognised as a powerful way of working with everything from general life difficulties to complex mental health problems. Often misunderstood, the compassion component is based upon the principles of being sensitive to our own and others' distress and learning how to proactively alleviate it).
We aim to support clients to understand as well as work with complex emotional systems and the evolved tricky brain to lead a more mindful and balanced life (practitioners have regular training at the Compassionate Mind Foundation and are supervised by prominent psychologists, who specialise in CFT.
